End to End Terahertz Sensing System

Completion: May 2023

Project Under the Smart Wireless Agile Networks Lab of Princeton (SWAN)

Objective: Working towards developing novel architectures in the millimeter and terahertz frequencies for various applications. These include but are not limited to localization, security, metasurfaces, and food sensing. The eventual goal of the project is to release a paper by March 2023.

Completed Components:

- Developed a 3D camera system to for finding optimal points for an end-to-end food sensing system that utilizes terahertz frequencies.

- Worked with a graduate student to measure the absorption trends of various fruits with reflection measurements spanning 100 ghz to 1.5 thz.

Salinity Detector Measuring the Concentration of NaCl to the Nearest PPM

Completed: May 2022

Project Under the Detector Building Event of Science Olympiad

This project took part under one of the largest K-12 STEM competitions in the world with over 8,000 teams in fifty states. Medalists in events at State, and National levels. In 2022 Science Olympiad, I won State Champion and National 2nd place for Detector Building, an electrical engineering event of building a microcontroller-based water salinity detector, among other awards.

Results:

 - Salinity Detector (accurate to 0.5ppm) - Discovered water capacitance to the issue of the detector variance in measured resistance and rectified the issue with reed relays to discharge the capacitance between cycles

- 2nd at Nationals and 1st at States and numerous awards at invitationals (results can be provided upon request)
